Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament Review & Giveaway!

On the weekend I journey back in history to a magical world of knights, sword battles, and nobility as an honored guest of the King’s Court. I’ve always been fascinated by the lifestyle of this time period and enthralling themes of love, betrayal, bravery and good VS evil is what makes TV series like Game of Thrones so popular.

Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament captures this intriguing era with a thrilling spectacle of interactive competition and theatrics that is fun for the whole family! This popular show takes dinner time to an exciting new level with a fabulous display of lights, majestic animals and spellbinding storytelling.

From the very moment the castle doors open everyone is in character and you are instantly transported to a faraway kingdom. Upon arrival, all guests are given a crown that represents the color of their brave knight and before the show begins there is time to browse the souvenir shops, grab a cocktail at the bar or snap some commemorative photos.

Every lord and lady is seated in sections corresponding to their kingdom’s color and as the show commences you are served savory tomato soup and garlic bread. I sat in the front row but every seat in the stadium has a great vantage point and as the knights face-off to showcase their skills, each house demonstrates team spirit and camaraderie by cheering and proudly waving their banner.

Since eating utensils were not used in the 11th century there are no forks or spoons to be had! Simply roll up your sleeves, use your hands and dig right in! No need to worry about getting a little messy.

The main course was delicious and hearty! We were served roasted chicken, sweet corn on the cob, baked potato with herb seasoning and a large mug of water and or soft drinks. Alcoholic beverages are available at an additional cost and there are vegetarian meal options.

As we enjoyed the feast hosted by the royal family, the drama unfolded into an epic battle of swordsmanship to determine which knight would be chosen to defeat the evil traitor and save the princess from an unfavorable marriage alliance. When the final act unfolds, guests are served a scrumptious dessert plus coffee or tea. The food service was fast and efficient and because the seating is on levels your view of the action is never blocked.

In the end, all our flag waving and cheering paid-off because our knight was victorious! The meal was very filling, the show was fantastic and the actors interacted with the crowd to rile us up!

Medieval Times definitely offers a unique dining experience with riveting entertainment that can be enjoyed by all ages. There are various locations throughout the U.S and one location here in Toronto. 1. It's easy to sign up for a Bloglovin account but don't worry about it. Because this contest is only open within the GTA I will be a bit more lenient with qualifications.
